Electronic Field Production, or EFP, is much like Electronic News Gathering. The term refers to any production shot on location using video cameras, light-weight portable field equipment, and perhaps even battery-operated lighting equipment.

Shows like King-5's Evening Magazine and Northwest Backroads are examples of EFP. These shows are typically produced very quickly for daily broadcast, and, like their ENG counterparts, are often edited in portable editing suits on location.
